Dan at The Starlight Room's flagship K. Kawai GX6 conservatory grand piano
Dan is a Michigan native who and has a long history of composing, arranging, performing, producing, and collaborating in a variety of musical ventures. In addition to several recordings featuring his solo acoustic piano compositions, he also produced and performed for numerous Contemporary Christian groups and songwriters. His live performance credits include directing worship at several churches, and performing with national recording artists such as Small Town Poets, Geoff Moore, The Sparks, Russ Taff, Bryan Duncan, and many others.
Dan has a rich history of community involvement, including 10 years as a band booster while raising his family in the Plymouth-Canton school district. His outreach also included providing Music Therapy performances to various health care systems, benefit concerts and donation campaigns for Cancer Awareness, fundraising for Plymouth Community Symphony, serving on the inaugural Canton Arts Commission in 2005, and producing recordings for the Plymouth Canton Educational Park music program. Since relocating to Michigan’s Third Coast, Dan has parlayed his many years of music-making and recording expertise into The Starlight Room, a first-of-its-kind "mashup" of a listening room and recording studio.
